Our Institution

The Ismalichak Moyna Yogoda Satsanga Brahmacharya Vidyalaya was founded on January 17, 1938 and celebrated its platinum jubilee in 2012-13 in an impressive manner. The school has around 950 students and 17 teachers in various subjects. The institution has been awarded the Nirmal Vidyalaya distinction by the Govt of West Bengal.

The school is run by the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) under the Special Rules conferred by the Govt of West Bengal. Students from this institution have consistently ranked very high in merit in the Moyna Block. Also, the football team of the school has built a reputation for itself in the local Balai Ponda Football Tournament.

It is worth mentioning that the Param Guru of YSS, Swami SriYukteswar Giri, used to visit and stay in the premises of this institution in a cottage during his tours to various parts of Midnapore. The cottage is now preserved as a historic structure and is used for meditation by the devotees of YSS.
